Steve Goering

Steve is a founding member and Managing Director of the Laramie Group. He serves as Practice Leader in Financial Services and has completed more than 150 assignments during his nine years in executive search. Steve's practice includes asset management, wealth management, retail banking, credit card, and technology based financial services companies with functional expertise in marketing and advertising, sales and distribution, product development, clearing and back office operations, risk and compliance, and information technology.

Prior to starting the Laramie Group, Steve was an Executive Vice President and Financial Services Practice Leader for the nation's largest mid-management search firm. He started his career as a Research Associate at a global retained executive search firm where he became Director of Strategic Accounts and executed multiple C-suite and Board of Director assignments within Fortune 500 and/or pre-IPO venture capital entities. His breadth of search experience spans across multiple industry segments including Advanced Technology, Automotive, Food & Beverage, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Telecommunications.

Steve is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) where he received his bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication.
